Summary:

The effects of spray coverage (n° droplets/cm2) and pesticide concentration were assessed on efficiency against overpowering Psylla pyri eggs on collected pear buds.

The results showed that 366-418 droplets/cm2 (reduced volume application) gave better efficiency than run-off ones (high volumes application).
Higher concentrations permitted high biological activity in reduced coverage (<40% target surface) conditions.
